Our Major Milestones
2002
• Incorporated PHEM in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, focusing on maintenance of lifting systems.
• Secured first overhead crane supply, installation & commissioning project for an industrial premises.
2004
Relocated operations to a wholly-owned terrace industrial building with land area of 3,120 sq. ft. in Taman Mount Austin, Johor Bahru.
2005
Secured a project for supply, installation and commissioning of a monorail hoist for a tiles manufacturing plant in Johor in 2005.
2006
Expanded market coverage to Central Region of Peninsular Malaysia with first project in Selangor (supply of spark-proof manual chain hoist).
2007
Supplied, installed, and commissioned our longest-span bridge overhead crane: 2 units of single girder overhead cranes, each with 5-tonne safe working load and 38-metre bridge span, for an industrial premises in Johor.
2008
• Relocated operational facility to a wholly-owned terrace industrial building (9,376 sq. ft.) in Taman Mount Austin, Johor Bahru.
• Secured our first order for the supply, installation, and commissioning of underhung crane for a printing cylinders manufacturing plant in Johor Bahru, Johor.
2009
• Expanded into the East Malaysia market with overhead crane project in Kuching, Sarawak.
• Secured a project for the supply, installation and commissioning of an explosion-proof monorail hoist for a petrochemical plant in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
• Secured multiple customised elevated platform projects, including elevated car display with rotational function and tilting platform for bus safety tilt test.
2010
• First export sales to Batam, Indonesia (hoist & trolley supply).
• Secured orders for overhead cranes and semi-gantry cranes with between 1-50 tonnes safe working load.
2012
Expanded to Northern Peninsular Malaysia; secured first freight elevator project in Penang (2-tonne safe working load).
2014
First export project to Singapore involving the supply, installation, and commissioning of dock levellers and table lifters.
2016
• Relocated headquarters and fabrication operations to I-Park Lot 28, Kulai, Johor.
• Received SME Corp Malaysia grant for purchase of machinery & equipment under Business Accelerator Programme 2.0.
2018
• Set up procurement team through PRSB to focus on procurement of materials, parts, and equipment to support our design, installation, and maintenance operations.
• Secured an order for the design, installed and commissioned a double-girder overhead crane with a safe working load of up to 40-tonne for aluminum smelting plant in Pasir Gudang.
2019
• Commenced a new business unit focusing on elevator segment via PMSB, offering supply, installation & maintenance for freight and home elevators.
• Secured first home elevator project.
2021
• Secured our Group’s monorail hoist project with highest lifting height to date (14 units, up to 50m lifting height) for dairy product manufacturing plant.
• Received SME Corp Malaysia grant (RM0.22M) to mainly develop “Powertechnic Exclusive Smart App” for service scheduling, maintenance tracking & certification renewal reminders.
2024
• Expanded operational facilities to I-Park Lot 42 (rented premise) for dock leveller fabrication.
• Delivered 50-tonne tilting platform for fire engine safety tilt testing in Singapore.
